Lt Col Tim Mallett
Chief of Public Affairs - Allied Rapid Reaction Corps.

Tim Mallett joined the Army as a soldier in 1991 serving with the Royal Regiment of Artillery, including operational experience in Cyprus on Op TOSCA with the United Nations. In 1998 he transferred to the Adjutant General Corps (Staff & Personnel Support) and was posted to HQ ARRC initially deploying to the G2 branch in Kosovo for which he was awarded the QCVS.

Tim moved to the Allied Command Europe Mobile Force – Land and deployed in 2002 on Op FINGAL, Afghanistan.

He commissioned as a Late Entry officer in 2010 and after several Regimental Duty roles he deployed as the Media Officer for the Role 3 Hospital in Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, during Op HERRICK 15 and Unit Press Officer for 21 Signals Regiment during Op HERRICK 19. After several staff posts and Sub Unit Command he was assigned to the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps - Italy in Milan as the Media Planner and Briefer before taking up his current post as Chief of Public Affairs at HQ ARRC.

In this Club Talk, Tim provides a broad description of the ARRC and in particular the role of the Military Public Affairs branch. At a critical time for global defence and security, when the resilience of NATO and the European alliance is being tested, Tim will cover what the current and future focus of ARRC and his role as Chief of Public Affairs are.
