The Pen & Sword regional organisations are being revived! A small team has taken on responsibility for managing the London & South East Region (LASERs. In addition to the regular networking lunches held at The Little Ship Club, the group is planning a visit to the Beating of Retreat at Horse Guards in July,
With the revival of the Pen & Sword regional organisation - which lapsed during the Covid epidemic - a small group of members has taken on the task of managing the London & South East Region (LASERs) within the Pen & Sword Club.
John Boyes, Malcolm Davidge, Brian Moore, and Mike Peters have volunteered to run the new group and provide additional events for members to attend.
As well as the networking lunches held most months at The Little Ship Club the LASERs are currently planning visits to the Beating of Retreat at Horseguards in July with an evening get together, probably at the RAF Club.
The LASERs are also arranging a visit to Portsmouth and the Naval Dockyard to see the new Royal Marines Museum and to the Shuttleworth Trust aviation site. Other events are also being considered for 2026.
The LASERs will endeavour not to clash with Pen & Sword Club events but to add to the existing patterns of professional interest. Events will be publicised by the club email system and will also be announced on the website.
